Is Chronic Stupidity the Greatest Threat to the Longevity of the West? The Mass Migration IQ test Part 2.0

Stupidity defined

“Stupid” generally refers to a lack of intelligence, common sense, or good judgment, often describing actions that are foolish, careless, or irrational. It can denote someone who is slow to learn or understand…

The longevity of nations and civilizations has varied widely over the course of human history ranging from a hundred years or so to thousands of years. What is striking is how little serious attention is dedicated to the subject of our collective longevity and the question of what sustains it. How is it that the subject of our very survival is regarded as anything less than that highest of priorities? Might I suggest that our inattention to the matter of how our policy decisions impact our long term future has now made the question unavoidable.

Over the course of the last three or four years in particular, I’ve been viewing the West’s future prospects as a matter of national and civilizational intelligence or IQ while pondering the debilitating effects “stupidity” of one form or another. Here’s my thesis:

Virulent or endemic “stupidity” (as defined above) manifesting in various forms, is ultimately terminal, not just for individuals and organizations, but also for nations and civilizations. Once the decline has begun, reversal become almost impossible as two symptoms of acute systemic stupidity are blindness and/or indifference to the deteriorating state of one’s society.

In Part 1.0, I cited the Covid-vaxx biowar/campaign as a real world test of intelligence at the individual and collective levels. The results of that test were troubling. Seemingly, only about 15-20% of the population in Canada and across the West possessed the discernment and the will to resist what has been proven to be a dark, dangerous and in many cases, deadly deception.

In the same way, one can view the political pressures on Western nations to adopt mass migration policies over the last 15-20 years as another real world IQ test. In fact, it may be the ultimate test. Given that the real world seldom allows for do-overs, countries that adopted mass migration policies may have, in effect, elected to self-terminate. And in the process they may have demonstrated that they, in the words of my former boss, too stupid to live.

The West’s final IQ test?

I spent the majority of my career serving as a specialist in strategic planning and foresight. I see nothing in the West’s adoption of mass migration policies suggesting the policy was or is the product of strategic thinking, foresight or diligent planning and execution. The strategic foresight window closed long ago; now is the time for the evaluation of the policy’s impact. What are the tangible outcomes and adverse side effects? This won’t be close to the final word on the subject, but it will be one of least cautious or politically-correct — honest. It’s late by at least a decade, In reality, the scrutiny should have begun with Cologne, Germany’s New Year’s night to remember if not before.

Germany’s New Year’s night to Remember

That night in 2015-16, approximately 1,200 women were reported to have been sexually assaulted. While these women were in public spaces, they were surrounded and assaulted by large groups of men. Those responsible were identified by officials as: “… Muslim men of Arab or North African origin.” The Cologne police chief did his best to rationalize, and semi-normalize the assaults. Here’s his sanitized account of the event from Wikipedia:

“…the Cologne police chief suggested that the perpetrators had come from countries where such sexual assaults by groups of men against women are common. That suggestion was confirmed in a Federal Criminal Police Office report in June 2016, which also identified five more factors contributing to the occurrence of the attacks: group pressure, absence of police intervention, frustrations of migrants, disinhibition caused by alcohol and/or drug use, and disinhibition due to lack of social ties with indigenous German society.” (sounds like classic muddying of the water)

This ugly event revealed three patterns that would characterize future events of this nature involving “asylum seekers” refugees the West. The first was the obvious lack of respect that foreigners demonstrated for their host nation, its citizens and their societal norms. The second was the obvious gap or clash between the norms and values of the newcomers and their hosts (cultural dissonance). And the third was the traitorous and cowardly response of authorities which attempted to rationalize/sanitize the behaviour of the predatory newcomers and shifted responsibility for their security to the citizens of Germany. Thus, German girls were subsequently advised to exercise greater vigilance around male refugees, wear rape whistles and take other safety precautions.

The Cologne incident should have been a flashing red alert for all the West. It wasn’t, as the migrant importation campaign continued unabated across the West. There were some exceptions like Hungary and Poland, despite penalties levied by the EU. Interestingly today, where some of their politicians today celebrate their nations’ prescience while migrant friendly countries look enviously outside their borders. But as of 2016, for the majority of Western nations, the hard lessons of mass migration were yet to be learned.

Ten years after — an inescapable reality

The first lesson is that the mass migration policies implemented across Western nations over the last 15 or so years have resulted in abrupt surges in the crime stats of host nations. The migrant culture clash is hardly surprising. Migrant-welcoming nations featured: open, advanced, high- trust, liberal, Christian cultures. How exactly are their values compatible with those of migrants from from Northern Africa and Muslim nations like Afghanistan, Syria, and Pakistan, for example? Their societies were/are predominantly traditional, conservative low societies with undeveloped economies.

The former elevates the place of women in society while some in the second category, as a matter of their religious views, regard women as property and Western women as sexually “fair game”. These headlines and extracts speak for themselves.

Foreigners make up 31% of Italy’s prison population, largely from Africa and North Africa, and 67.5% of crimes committed by foreigners are attributed to illegal immigrants. Overall, they account for about 30% of all crimes nationwide. Among minors, the problem is even more severe: non-EU youths represent only 1.5% of Italy’s population but are responsible for 65% of muggings, 50% of thefts, 48% of robberies, 47% of sexual assaults, and 40% of physical attacks committed by their age group. Crime wave in Sweden: Government’s immigration policy blamed for gang shootings, rapes and no-go zones

In fact, sexual offences in Ireland increased by 17% between 2017 and 2018. In financial terms, the expanding asylum process is costing the Irish government more than €1 billion every five years, and in the midst of an Irish housing crisis, immigration is putting immense pressure on every aspect of the nation’s infrastructure.

All but the most ideologically blind and deaf would likely find it hard to deny the reality of the crime problem. But the curse of mass migration into the West is multi-pronged.

More than an intractable crime problem

It’s unlikely that Western governments will provide their citizens with full accounting of the costs and consequences associated with the mass migration. The current crop of leaders, were complicit — too controlled, too indoctrinated, too self-interested and too cowardly and insecure for truth and transparency. This intent of this essay is simply to sketch the outline of the adverse consequences and costs to the citizenry and their participating Western countries. (A detailed analysis will be left to others) As noted above, the most apparent is an unmanageable crime problem with an off-the-charts incidence of rape and assaults topping the list. Mass migration in Western nations is also resulting in or contributing to:

• An annual drain of billions of dollars in government budgetary expenditures. This is the cost of providing newcomers with accommodations in asylum hotels, monthly family living allowances, healthcare and other “essential” goods and services.

• Housing shortages and inflated house prices. An influx of migrants has made purchase of a first home for young adults and families difficult ,if not impossible. A Federal Reserve working paper suggests the Biden illegal immigrant wave caused 30% increase in house prices.

• A demand overload on the physical and social infrastructure. It’s not simply a matter of insufficient classroom space, but also the need for more teachers, social workers, police officers, health care workers, and judicial system personnel. I hear friends reporting the inconvenience of long waiting lines for health care and public services. I read of teachers in some European centres with large migrant populations reporting that they are overwhelmed with the challenge of managing over-crowded classrooms with a majority of immigrant children lacking language skills and amenable to the behavioural norms of their classrooms. And I read that the failure to prosecute a majority of offenders in the UK Justice system is due to system overload.

• Outmigration/displacement of the native population. According to the 2026 “Youth in Germany” (Jugend in Deutschland) study, for example, 21% are actively planning to leave to find a better life, while 41% can imagine moving abroad in the longer term due to economic anxiety and high housing costs. A 2026 study by the German Center for Integration and Migration Studies found that 17% of the native German population has considered leaving. Stats Canada reports that net outmigration annually is 120,000.

• Degradation and displacement of the domestic cultures and religious values

• An exodus of businesses and investment dollars from the country. Non-strategic (poorly conceived and managed immigration policies are antagonistic to Canadian business and investment interests. (In net terms Canada is seemingly displacing skilled professionals, entrepreneurs and investment while replacing its high value human resources with an abundance of unskilled, low skilled and under-qualified migrants while it bleeds capital investment.) • A lack of jobs and thus higher unemployment for native students in the food services and hospitality sectors in particular. In Canada, for example, students are (unfairly) forced to compete with the the East Indian-skewed temporary work visa program which subsidizes the wages of foreign workers).

• Wholesale looting of social programs and benefits: Minnesota’s Somali’s are providing looting lessons of a “go big or go home”-scale. Think “billions”. In general, African societies, for example, are demonstrably less altruistic, community-minded and thus likely less concerned with the national interest or public good.

• The fragmentation of neighbourhoods with immigrant clusters. While this might be considered natural for newcomers, it also implies a corresponding shrinkage in the community’s “common ground” and weakening of neighbourhood ties). This fracturing or hollowing out of established communities is likely to contribute to reduced social cohesion.

• Reduced national literacy rate and collective IQ. Consider that, “The number of people who are illiterate in Sweden is expected to exceed 800,000 in winter of this year, with researchers expecting the number to soon reach 1 million.” Thus the country has literally become measurably less literate (“stupider’) due to mass migration.

• Reduced professional certification and occupational performance standards: It’s not unusual to read of falsified immigrant professional credentials, (many lied to get in the door) unqualified foreign imposters infiltrating the fields of education and health care and the DEI-inspired lowering of standards to accommodate minorities including immigrants. Tragic commercial truck and bus accidents have put a spotlight on the failure of license certification systems in Canada and the US to screen out inadequately trained or irresponsible immigrant drivers. (Consider the Humboldt Broncos hockey team bus crash of 2018 that killed 16 passengers and injuring 14)

• An unsustainable long term economic burden on the country. Years of state-supported mass migration and the associated multiplicity of costs can lead to economic collapse. We read for example that Germany has added between 5.5 million and 6 million people to its population since 2014 (the equivalent of absorbing a population equal to that of Denmark). It’s been costly: “Germany’s cities are collapsing under a €30 billion deficit in 2025, and even mayors of the neoliberal, pro-mass migration, ‘center right’ party … are finally admitting the globalist system they helped create has driven the Europe’s strongest economy straight into the wall.” (“How globalist mass migration policies are turning Germany into a third-world welfare colony“)

• Degraded lifestyles. Elevated crime levels inevitably mean citizens are less secure and correspondingly less likely to enjoy the personal freedoms that were once a given in their country. This includes the freedom of young women to walk about their cities and towns and enjoy public spaces including parks for example without the scourge of “sex pests”. (There’s no shortage of social media posts from young, white women live-streaming for their own protection while being harassed by male immigrants.)

• Increased government censorship and suppression of speech rights: Migrant-embracing Western governments have seemingly adopted two-tiered policies favouring immigrants. One now reads reads that in some countries, the monthly allowances paid to migrants significantly exceed pensions issued to their own dependent citizens. We also read of instances where citizens who criticize the conduct of foreigners (deemed “hate-speech”) are being more harshly treated by the courts than convicted criminal immigrants. Those instances where special treatment by the courts have been followed by repeat crimes (assault, stabbings, rape, homicide) have fuelled his is contributing to growing public outrage and loss of confidence in the national government.

• Additional national security risks: Suffice to say, the large migrant populations that have penetrated porous borders, deceived credulous immigration officers and eluded system screening have not been thoroughly vetted. We know many of the migrants coming into the West are described as “fighting-age” men. I have also read of covert arms and armaments shipments into adoptive countries. Thus mass migration has introduced a national security threat of unknown proportions.

• Reduced appeal as an international tourist destination

• Partial/selective assimilation and persistence of inhumane religious practices: There’s an assumption and an expectation that migrant populations assimilate into the host society adopting the culture, language and core values of the dominant culture. The promoters of mass migration contend that the extending citizenship to migrants, in the interests of “diversity” enriches the domestic culture and improves the lives and lifestyles of migrants and their children. This is a am misleading assumption in that migration’s motivations may be mixed. Specifically, they may be drawn to the West for economic reasons while retaining a deep-seated distain for liberal Western values. This is is apparent where tenets of migrants’ religion clash with Western beliefs , values and practices or conception of human rights.

Author, Naomi Wolf found the persistence of age-old cultural practices among Somalis immigrants living in the US disheartening. (See: “A Stop Over in the Heartland”). While the Somalis enjoyed vastly improved lives and including good paying jobs, she reports that the tradition of extreme genital mutilation of young girls continues. The practice is banned in Minnesota, but Somali families have a work-around. Young girls are sent outside the US for “vacation cutting”.

Westerners awaken

After ignoring innumerable warnings like the Unhappy New Year celebration in Cologne in 2015-16 and the symptoms of cultural clashes, conservatives in the West have largely awakened to the dangers of mass migration. Metaphorically, at least some of the frogs in the simmering pot on the stove have become aware they are about to be boiled. And despite the fog of official denial and ridicule and insults, they have glimpsed their future disappearance. They are feeling nervous, angry, and betrayed by their political leaders and national governments. And they want remedial action. A scan of headlines tells the story.

A CSA poll conducted for CNews, Europe 1 and JDD, found that 76 percent of French people overall want the army called in to battle drug trafficking in “disadvantaged neighbourhoods.” The percentage support from French woman is 80 percent.

Sixty-seven per cent of Britons believe immigration is “too high”. Farage’s promise to deport foreign criminals is backed by 37% of poll respondents.

By my estimate, the number of migrant hotels that have been torched in Northern Ireland since 2018 now exceeds 40.

Protesting crowds in Netherlands chanted what many in their population are thinking by now. “I want my country back”!

Citizen push back is manifesting in other ways in European cities with large migrant populations. In some, locals have organized volunteers to patrol the streets to ensure public safety. In some locations, vigilant citizens are administering “light” street justice and turning migrants predators preying on children or young woman over to police. It’s not unusual to see videos of Irish men chasing loitering migrants out of playgrounds and schools. At the same time, many young women in Germany, England and elsewhere are posting videos of male migrants (“sex pests”) pursuing and harassing them.

An awakened citizenry’s rejection of failed multiculturalism and its self-defeating gospel of “diversity” is manifesting in other ways. It’s a central subject in social media commentary and debates replete with incisive sardonic memes and maxims. A photo or video of an intoxicated migrant standing in the street threatening passers-by with a machete or shitt*ng in the street becomes ammo for truth warriors. The latter respond by add a terse caption referring to the performance of as that of “future doctor, engineer, architect” or “scholar”. The satire echoes the 2015 pre-election warning of candidate Donald Trump regarding migrants flooding the US via Mexico, They’re not sending their best.

The bottom line analysis of the Resistance is: Import the third world, become the third world. For those with eyes to see the deterioration of once clean and relatively safe cities, it’s increasingly difficult to refute the maxim.

American economist, social theorist, and political commentator, Thomas Sewell (black) sums up the mood of Westerners, Whites in particular, who increasingly see mass migration as a White Replacement strategy. Sewell observes: “The average person is not okay with what is happening, and White people in Australia and around the world are rightfully upset and frustrated.”

It’s noteworthy that increasingly first generation immigrants in the West are publicly voicing their concerns about where Western permissiveness is taking taking their adopted homes and their future prospects. The Nigerian social critic, commentator and producer of Bantu City Diaries, examined the displacement of the the native white British population in numerous communities in London and wondered aloud “why white people are so tolerant”.

His African-American counterpart, Frank Zanu has warned fellow African Americans the threat America would face if “their people” (Africans) ever became a majority. Frank quickly invites his critics to check out the natural state of see Haiti and any African country. He is in effect echoing the caution, Import the third world in sufficient numbers and your country will become the third world.

Western governments have been remarkably deaf to the concerns of their citizens. Armstrong Williams, writing in Zero Hedge warns, “What is unfolding across parts of Europe, particularly in the UK under Prime Minister Keir Starmer, should serve as a warning to every Western democracy wrestling with questions of immigration, national identity, social cohesion, and the limits of political tolerance.” The signs tell me the limits of political tolerance have been reached at best or exceeded.

Canada — a cautionary tale

Canada has reportedly been bringing 500,000 immigrants into the country annually. It’s now reached the point where approximately one fifth of the Canadian population is foreign born. While it has curtailed its gorging appetite for third world migrants, the country is experiencing the full range of migrant issues other Western nations have chronicles and flagged earlier. The continuing dead weight of its migrant population may be the rock that keeps the country in permanent recession. And while official denial reigns, it’s taken a toll. Charles Lammam, a Canadian economic and public policy researcher observes:

“Recently, the 2026 World Happiness Report showed Canada dropping to 25th overall. Back in 2012, we were 5th. As economic output per person has stagnated, performance on everything from health care wait times to violent crime severity has deteriorated alongside it.” It invites the question: “What happened”?

Canadian tech entrepreneur and author, Mark Jeftovic, contends that “energy” was Canada’s single biggest failure. How does a country sitting on the fourth largest oil reserves end up importing between 500K and 600K barrels/day from the US? But he considers Immigration the smelly elephant in the room, “Canada’s masterpiece.”

“For decades we skimmed the cream of the planet. Skilled, educated, motivated people from every culture and country, selected through a points system that drilled down on simple KPI: can you come here, integrate, and build something? Successful applicants kept their heritage, celebrated it, added it to the mix, …and got to work.We took people on humanitarian grounds too, generously so, but never more than we could economically and culturally absorb.“

Former British Columbia MLA, Renee Merrifield and CEO of Troika Group would agree on both points. In her analysis, Canada has been on the trajectory of “a managed decline for the last decade”. It’s management of its natural resources is indicative. The country’s decline can be attributed in part to the government’s failure to consider how immigration and domestic migration trends interact with the economy and housing.

The “failing” verdict on Canada didn’t await an official government announcement. It was rendered by observant Canadians themselves and the country’s foreign critics. The former have voted with their feet. It’s reflected in their decision to shift their homes, businesses and investment out of country. (Merrifield notes that 155,000 educated professionals have already left.) Stats Canada reports that “overall global emigration out of Canada topped a record 120,000 people annually. There’s something salutary in the politically-incorrect assessments of ordinary citizens and those beyond the perception-shaping influence of Canadian propagandists. A professional hockey player who played on both sides of the border sees something short-sighted in Canadian policy thinking. He used the word “stupid”. American comic Rob Schneider calls out “dumb Canadian retards” and the country that now provides same day government-assisted suicides. Talk show host, Bill Maher declares, “After 11 years of Trudeau-Carney, Canada has become the laughing stock of the world.”

The only question remaining for Canada’s critics is whether the country is “stupid” or “insane”. My summation: Canada’s record of the last decade is objectively viewed as a sad, cautionary tale, the result of a misguided, incoherent and ultimately self-harming woke leftists policies. And worst of all — the message has yet to penetrate the masses.

Conclusion

Western nations, Canada included, have, in general, failed the IQ tests of the century. They have, with some exceptions, (Poland and Hungary) studiously — some would say arrogantly ignored the advice of their sages, seers, the proverbial canaries in the coal mine and writing on the wall. And they have ignored history, sociology and geopolitics. The leftist political partisans, parasites, propagandists, paid promoters, political hacks, profiteers and useful woke idiots have ruled the day. Their tactics are lies, deception, and treachery. The West jas been complicit in its own conquest, something that’s occurred without a fight.

A November 2025 article in The Burning Platform, entitled “If demographics is destiny — we’re screwed” the author describes the means of the conquest. Its a function of the math of disparate rates of the reproduction within Western nations and immigrant populations. The author also describes the underlying social-political context. He attributes the situation to the “globalist cabal”. In other words, we didn’t get here by accident.

The data is dire for the Western world and Asia, particularly China, Taiwan, South Korea, and Singapore. The U.S. fertility rate is at an all-time low, down 55% from its peak in 1957. It is down 40% since the early 1970s, when women, brainwashed by feminist tripe, joined the workforce in droves, and murdered 63 million of their unborn children, in the name of women’s rights. This is what the woman’s movement, created by the globalist cabal to advance their agenda of destroying the western world and replacing it with their one world order, has wrought.

There was nothing strategic about mass migration from a Western perspective. And as social media poster Zachary McRae puts: “Immigration without assimilation is invasion.” The West was invaded and the invaders are naturally inclined and arguably intent on outbreeding and thus overwhelming their timorous hosts. Mass migration is nothing less than an existential threat to Western civilization and its nations white populations.

JD Vance, addressed the 61st annual Munich Security Conference in February of 2025 urging his audience to make mass migration a top priority. “And of all the pressing challenges that nations represented here face, I believe that it’s nothing more urgent than mass migration.”

His remarks should have carried additional weight given the timing. The day before the conference, an Afghani asylum seeker had rammed his car into a crowd of German protestors, killing a mother and her young daughter and injuring 44. Referring to the the attack, Vance asked: “How many times must we suffer these appalling setbacks before we change course and take our shared civilization in a new direction?”

More plainly, he might have asked: “when will we ever learn?” Learning is a defining feature of intelligence. The more basic question is, Are we still capable of learning as nations, as a civilization? Or, in the crude language of my former boss, are Westerners too stupid to live? There’s no joy is sharing my conclusion, but denial is the final refuge of the stupid. In a capsule it’s that barring a united patriot revolution across the West, divine intervention or a combination of the two, the Western nations (Canada included) with a few exceptions is finished. And if so, an appropriately-worded epitaph would read: too stupid to live.

I’ll close this essay with Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s warning regarding the the daunting challenge of overcoming stupidity.

Stupidity is a more dangerous enemy of the good than malice. One may protest against evil; it can be exposed and, if need be, prevented by use of force. Evil always carries within itself the germ of its own subversion in that it leaves behind in human beings at least a sense of unease….Against stupidity we are defenceless.
